The 2019 BET Awards saw a torrent of celebrities dazzle on the blue carpet.
Taking place at Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday evening, stars including rapper Lizzo , actor Y ara Shahidi and singer John Legend displayed their fashion prowess as they arrived to celebrate African American culture in fields including music, acting and sport.
Singer and actor Mary J Blige , who was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event, arrived in a stunning silver and white floor-length gown created by Italian fashion designer Alberta Ferretti .
Meanwhile, singer Ciara made a bold sartorial statement in a blood orange Jean Paul Gaultier ruched mini dress, complete with striking shoulder pads.
