Susannah Frankel: 'My holiday beauty must-haves'

There's nothing that says 'holiday' more than running around buying the products (travel-sized where possible) for a 'can't-do-without' beauty bag. Here are mine:

Kiehl's Creme de Corps

Probably the finest body moisturiser of them all, it's the colour of custard – but don't let that put you off – and smells like nothing, which is just as it should be, ensuring minimum interference with any scent.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse

Sadly, the bottle is glass, but given that its content is among the most versatile inventions ever... It's a body/hair/bath oil and works equally well in all its guises.

Eve Lom Rescue Mask

It's grey, it's aromatic and it's the best clarifying mask that I have used to date. Guess what else? An Eve Lom therapist told me that it visibly reduces bags beneath the eyes. That's something no one wants on their holidays when a relaxed and dewy appearance is to be aimed for.

Phyto 9 Daily Ultra Nourishing Botanical Cream

In an always small and easy-to-pack size, this leave-in hair conditioner can be applied to wet or dry hair and is perfect for those for whom using specially-designed holiday-hair ranges seems a product too far.

Sisley Hydra-Flash

In- and post-flight, post sun/wind/water damage, this can be used as a moisturiser or, more thickly, as a mask, after which skin will feel plump, soft, reinvigorated and not even remotely oily. It's true!

Soleil Tan De Chanel, 547 Bronze Rose

In the sun, I use even less make-up than usual and that's saying something. There are three different shades of brown and a fourth pink powder in this Chanel bronzer that can be adjusted to suit everything from a honey-brown complexion to an out-and-out George Michael mahogany skin tone.

Acqua di Colonia Officina Profumo S Maria Novella

Wearing one's usual fragrance by the sea may be somewhat overpowering so a light cologne/eau de toilette that can be splashed about with abandon is preferable. This one, courtesy of the ancient Florence-based apothecary, is among the finest of its kind. I use rose.
