After being greeted by four young children, Johnson receives another knock on his door, this time from Hart.
The Ride Along star is wearing a wig, a black polo neck top, a gold chain, a pair of jeans and a bumbag, in direct reference to a photograph of the former professional wrestler taken in the 1990s that has become something of an Internet phenomenon over the past few years.
In mock anger, Johnson asks Hart why he is dressed like that, to which Hart responds: “Because it’s my costume. All you gotta do is go to the costume store and say, ‘Make me look stupid’.”
Hart then attempts to recreate Johnson’s pose from the picture, to which the Moana star says: “Don’t stand like that.”
Several of Hart’s Instagram followers responded with delight to the comedian’s committed recreation of Johnson’s nostalgic outfit.
“Hell of a transformation,” one person wrote.
“Separated at birth,” another person joked.
Johnson jovially commented on Hart’s Halloween costume, writing: “You’re an a**hole. But I still love you. And I’m still laughing #brotherlylove.”
Earlier this week, Hart spoke out for the first time since sustaining major back injuries from a car crash in September.
In a video posted on Instagram, he said he now sees “life from a whole new perspective”.
“I swear, life is funny. Because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the thing that you needed most. And in this case, I honestly feel like God basically told me to sit down,” Hart said.
The comedian added that his “appreciation for life is through the roof”, expressing his gratitude for his family, friends and “people that simply ride” with him.
“I’m thankful for all of your love and support,” Hart said to his fans.
