Elizabeth Taylor, whose White Diamonds fragrance has been topping celebrity scent rankings for years, will release Violet Eyes next month.

A nod to Taylor's unusual eye color, Violet Eyes was created by Carlos Benaïm, the perfumer who already created its famous forerunner. Notes will include white peach, jasmine, purple rose, peony, cedar and amber.

"I love floral fragrances, and wanted Violet Eyes to make women feel beautiful, sophisticated, and sensual, using a bouquet of scents that I adore [...]," Taylor said in a statement.

Violet Eyes, priced at $52, will be released by Elizabeth Arden. The beauty brand previously launched the Couture scent with US design duo Badgley Mischka, which included the note of violet as an homage to Taylor.

The iconic White Diamonds was ranked number one on a recent global bestseller list of celebrity fragrances by Euromonitor, followed by tennis player Gabriela Sabatini's eponymous scent and Sean John's Unforgivable.
