British designer Paul Smith puts a spin on Led Zeppelin's album covers for latest collaboration

The British designer creates six limited edition scarves

British fashion designer Paul Smith has teamed up with Led Zeppelin with a collection of scarves, featuring artwork taken from the band’s albums.

The collaboration marks the launch of the band’s newly re-mastered versions of their nine albums.

Putting a fashion spin on the images Paul Smith has created three unique designs. In order to translate the renowned imagery onto the fabric of the scarves, he had to apply the photographic technique.

Images of the band’s upcoming albums Led Zeppelin IV and Houses of Holy have already been jacquard-woven as well onto two further scarves and a brand new design has been created for a sixth scarf.

This, however, is not the first time that Smith collaborates with a music icon. Earlier this year he teamed up with David Bowie to celebrate his latest album The Next Day. The British designer made a limited edition of red vinyl studio album and a print T-shirt, featuring the album’s artwork.

Also, Paul Smith did collaboration with The Music Exchange, one of his favourite record stores. A well-honed selection of records were available to buy from his Covent Garden shop in London and a T-shirt was specially designed to mark the occasion.

Smith’s latest collaboration will include six scarves, featuring Led Zeppelin album unique artworks, each will be made in a limited edition run of 50 and will be available in-store and online from 23 October.
