She has only just turned 22 and has the world at her feet. Is the next step for Cara Delevingne a starring role in the next Bond movie?

She's already conquered the fashion world with countless catwalks and advertising campaigns behind her.

In recent months Delevingne has turned her attention to acting with numerous film roles including a part in the new Peter Pan blockbuster alongside Hugh Jackman and Amanda Seyfried.

Now there are rumours that she is being considered for the new Bond movie which is expected to be released later next year.

A source told the Mirror that the makers of the film had begun considering her for a role.

Modelling isn't an unusual route into acting with some of the world's most famous actresses beginning their career as models.

The late Lauren Bacall for example appeared on the covers of Harper's Bazaar and Vogue before deciding on becoming a actress.

More recent examples include the likes of Lily Cole and Rosie Huntington Whiteley who both began their careers as fashion models before breaking into film.
