We round-up the most picturesque Christmas markets Britain has to offer in 2015
1. Durham Christmas festival
More than 200 stalls in a craft and gift marquee, and a regional producers’ market in Durham Cathedral Cloisters, plus entertainment such as fire eating, seasonal storytelling and the children’s lantern procession.

2. Winchester Christmas Market
Pretty wooden chalets line the cathedral’s historic close selling Christmasgifts, decorations and festive foods, surrounding an open-air ice rink. Exhibitors are hand-picked for their interesting, high-quality and unique products – many of which can’t be bought in the high street.

3. Frankfurt Christmas Market, Birmingham
The largest Christmas market outside Germany, it hosts dozens of stallholders (many comingfrom Birmingham’s twin city, Frankfurt). Find German food and drink, toys, decorations and crafts.

4. European Christmas Market, Edinburgh
A traditional and romantic market held in the picturesque setting below the Mound. You’ll find A unique shopping experience with its offering of crafters, artists, gift shops and gourmet surprises.

5. Christkindelmarkt, Leeds
This expansive Christmas Mmarketin the UK features more than 40 traditional wooden chalet stalls from authentic German traders (below) providing a huge selection of Christmasgiftsideas, themed indoor venues and a traditionalcarouselride. There are also Bavarian food stalls.
