Battlefield 3: Close Quarters available now for PS3 owners

Themed expansion pack concentrates on claustrophobic, condensed environments.

The tight level design and vertical gameplay of Battlefield 3: Close Quarters released for PS3 yesterday with Xbox 360 and PC to be rolled out next week.

Close Quarters is a themed expansion pack concentrating on claustrophobic, condensed environments to create competitive and deadly fire fights. BF3′s Frostbite 2.0 engine has allowed developers DICE to create destructible scenery, so letting players riddle the environment with bullets and reduce entire locales to rubble. Everything from furniture to plaster can be shot to pieces, and players can see the result of the mayhem as rubble and debris pile up on the floor around them.

Battlefield 3: Close Quarters is available for £11.99 on the PlayStation Network and from next week for 1200 MS Points on Xbox Live and £11.99 on PC.
