Dead Island 2

For a gaming convention taking place in LA, a trailer that looks like a Visit California advert with a zombie attack was always going to go down well.

Bloodborne

The trailer for this PlayStation exclusive Bloodborne looks like the start of a harrowing horror movie.

Zelda Wii U

There’s no trailer yet, but here’s Eiji Aonuma, Group Manager of Nintendo, who hinted that the hero might not be Link. Cue mass speculation on who the hell is going to save Hyrule.

No Man's Sky

This ambitious planetary exploration title from indie developers Hello Games was a huge hit at E3. It manages to roll several games you’d want to play into one trailer - underwater, dinosaurs, and space.

If you secretly miss the days of Sum 41 and Blink 182, and played a lot of Theme Park, Sunset Overdrive is for you.

Batman: Arkham Knight

There's been many Batmen: some good, some bad. In the next two years we’ll see the superhero done by Rocksteady - and Ben Affleck.

Mortal Kombat X

When the original was released in the nineties, it caused huge controversy over the graphic violence shown and the game was banned in several countries. Two decades later, Sony showed clips like this at their E3 conference.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

"People don't want freedom. They want boundaries, rules, protection. From invaders, and from themselves," Kevin Spacey as Jonathan Irons. (Ok, it wasn't revealed at E3, but it's racked up 20 million hits since the trailer launched last month for a reason).

And because all of the gore and violence in video games can be a bit too much, here's Yoshi. The cutest character at E3.
