Five things to expect from FIFA17

The eagerly awaited football season is indeed back and full of drama already, but for some of us there's still a bit longer to wait to get our full dose of excitement.

Fifa 17 is just around the corner, and gamers are now getting a much clearer idea of what's in store this year.

So here's everything you might be itching to ask and what to expect:

When will the game be released?

Fans can hurry down to the shops on Thursday September 29 in the UK to grab the latest edition.

Gamers in the US are lucky enough to be getting it two days prior.

It’s also available to pre-order through EA Sports.

What new features can we expect?

Producers are boasting a plethora of adjustments and new features to the latest version.

Firstly, the Career mode has been given an overhaul.

Managers will be individually tailored with their own personalities. You will also get a more hands-on approach, with realistic board expectations and a more in-depth view of your club’s finances.

In addition to this, there are changes to player growth, specially-designed kits and badges, and a chance to play with teams in the Japanese J-League.

In terms of physical gameplay, Fifa 17 promises to have rewritten the way to take set pieces and offers a new way to interact with surroundings on the pitch that will make every match unique.

For Ultimate Team fans, there are new squad-building challenges, Ultimate Champions – where there’s the chance to play in ‘weekend leagues’ if you’re victorious in online tournaments – and brand new faces to the list of 'legends' you can receive in each pack.

There is also the annual Fifa Interactive World Cup, which will include an enticing £1 million kitty to play for.

What is The Journey mode?

In among these host of additional features is a new story mode called The Journey. Although this idea is rather similar to the likes of Be A Pro, and the Career mode of previous Champions League games, this is almost a hybrid of the two.

Players will live vicariously in the game as the imaginary Alex Hunter, starting off at any of this season’s Premier league clubs.

You will be able to control everything from how Alex plays, reacts to getting sent off and talks to his manager, to deciding on whether to go out on loan.

When can I get the demo?

The Fifa 17 demo will be available between Friday September 9 and Tuesday 13.

How much will it cost?

The game is expected to retail between £44 - for a regular version on the ageing PS3 - and £70 - for the Super Deluxe Edition on the PC.
