Fortnite trailer released for 'Chapter 2'

Fortnite's huge "black hole" event has come to an end – but the game is still not available.

The servers are now fully offline, presumably to allow the new update to be pushed out to players. It could still be hours before people are actually able to get online.

A new update file has arrived with players, though they may need to restart their client or console to get it.

That update is large: at nearly 20GB, it is perhaps the biggest update in the game's history.

Epic is yet to release the patch notes for the update, which will indicate what is included in it.

But leaked videos show that the game has an entirely new maps, the addition of pogo sticks, boats and swimming, and the ability to fish.

It is expected to bring a whole new era to the game, with Epic referring to the new season as "Chapter 2" rather than "Season 11".

As well as the game going offline, in the wake of the end of the black hole event, Fortnite's Twitter posts returned to its account. Previously, the company had removed all of its posts apart from the live stream of the black hole.
