The DS is proving to be a platform that’s as open to education as it is to entertainment, thanks to a slew of self-improvement titles, from language primers to maths coaches.

Having had huge success with its brain-training titles, the console now has a version for youngsters. But while you can expect a fast pace and bright colours, this is neither curriculum-grade learning nor particularly good fun.
