The PSP Go is Sony’s answer to the download culture brought in by the iPhone and picked up by theNintendo DSi. So, will a sleek new look and a roster of download-only titles be enough to take on the might of Apple’s gaming apps? Probably not, but there’s plenty here for Sony fans to enjoy, and, once you’ve got through the exhausting set-up process, this media player and console mix is an inviting beast. Sony plans to capture the app market with “minis” – small, casual games – but there are big titles (LittleBigPanet, WipEout) that impress too. Pricey but pretty.
