Billed as a “human drama” Fragile Dreams is asmuch survival horror as avantgarde art. Assuming the role of Seto – survivor of a humanity-ending catastrophe – you set out to discover other survivors; chancing upon a silverhaired girl who runs away from him, Seto endeavours to find her. A sombre atmosphere permeates the game, from the moody locations and evil spirits, to the off-key characters encountered. Use of the Wiimote as a torch is a nice touch and the ambience is absorbing, a shame then that listless pacing, limited combat and fiddly controls are ultimately distracting.
