No Man’s Sky has received its first major update. It patches many of the problems with the game – but might not fix players’ biggest complaints.

The new update is meant to fix many of the issues that people have been having with the game since it was launched earlier this month. Those include problems with getting stuck on planets or having the game crash.

“Even though less than one per cent of players have raised support issues, we're going to resolve roughly 70% of them this week,” tweeted Sean Murray, the game’s creator and head of studio Hello Games.

The update has now been rolled out to both PC and PlayStation 4.

But it doesn’t fix many of the complaints that players have – namely that features that were promised or expected aren’t actually in the game. Despite the rave reviews that have greeted the game, many are also angry that it doesn’t feature some features, like multiplayer or base building on planets.

Sean Murray tweeted to say that the company was focusing on solving those various bugs and other problems. But he did suggest in a tweet that the company would move on to adding new things to the game.

“We're totally focused on customer support right now,” he posted. “Then we'll move onto improving and adding features to the game.”
