The third weekly challenge of Fortnite Season 5 is here, and it involves shooting clay pigeons at different locations around the game.

Fortnite players only need to complete five of the clay pigeon shoots to finish the challenge, however players have already uncovered at least six locations.

They include the north-east corner of Loot Lake, just north of the bridge over the Tomato Town river, at the foot of the mountains West of Pleasant Park, beside an abandoned house between Flush Factory and Shifty Shafts, and near the trailer park South of Paradise Palms.

Button prompts will encourage players to launch a clay pigeon and shoot them out of the sky. Other flying objects, including rubber ducks, may also fly out of the clay pigeon shooter.

A score board in front of the launcher keeps track of a player's progress. Players are advised to make sure no one else is around before taking part, so as to not attract unwanted attention from other people in the game.

Players have already reported that using automatic weapons makes the challenge easier, however Epic Games recently fixed the "high capacity, fast firing Compact SMG" after complaints that it was too overpowered.

The effectiveness of the weapon meant many players used their time in the game to simply seek out the gun in order to destroy their enemies.

"We've heard your feedback regarding SMGs and that they're stronger than we would like at the moment," Epic Games announced through their official Reddit account. "We agree and have just pushed a hotfix live adjusting these values – bringing them more in line with where we want them."

The popular game celebrated its first birthday this week, releasing a series of special Birthday Challenges for players to complete.

With more than 125 million players around the world, Fornite is arguably the video game sensation of the year. However its popularity has also attracted cyber criminals, who are attempting to steal information and money from Fortnite players.
