Addicts beware, Candy Crush Saga is set to start calling you from your Windows 10 desktop.

Like Minesweeper, Spider Solitaire and Hearts, the number one selling app will come pre-installed on your productivity PC when the latest version of Microsofts’s system launches later this year.

The Redmond-based computer giant announced the partnership with the game’s creator, King, on the Windows 10 blog stating that Candy Crush Saga “will be automatically installed for customers that upgrade to or download Windows 10 during the launch”.

Whether or not that questionable bonus exists beyond the initial phases of sale remains to be seen but, with other King titles expected to follow, don’t expect to see it disappear from the Windows Marketplace.

With an estimated 1.3bn Windows machines in the world and 2.3% of Candy Crush players confessed to coughing for in-app purchases, that makes quite the windfall for the game’s developer on top of whatever the arrangement may already have made.

“Ever since Candy Crush Saga arrived for Windows Phone, I’ve spent countless hours of fun matching candies,” said Microsoft Senior Marketing Communications Manager, but if you suspect you won’t be able to show restraint then there’ll doubtless be a way of removing it, although that might involve having to dig a little deeper into Windows than you may want.

Should we tell you that you can already place Candy Crush Saga online from your computer? Probably best not to.
