UberEATS app will not be affected by the Uber London taxi ban - McDonald's delivery is safe

UberEATS will not be affected by TfL’s decision to revoke Uber’s operating licence in London.

The company’s delivery service will continue to function as normal, even if Uber ends up being banned in the capital.

UberEATS lets users order food from a number of popular fast food outlets, including McDonald’s.

People have been voicing their concerns about the future of UberEATS on Twitter.

Uber's current licence ends on 30 September, but the company will appeal the decision.

Its taxi-hailing service will continue to exist in London while the appeals process is ongoing.

Meanwhile, Uber has launched a petition to “save” the service.

“By wanting to ban our app from the capital, Transport for London and the Mayor have given in to a small number of people who want to restrict consumer choice,” the company says.

“If this decision stands, it will put more than 40,000 licensed drivers out of work and deprive millions of Londoners of a convenient and affordable form of transport.

“This decision is affecting the real lives of a huge number of honest and hard-working drivers in London.”
