The World Cyber Games have announced nine official games for the WCG 2011 Grand Final in Korea, featuring StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm for the first time.

The FIFA soccer series has been a staple at the WCG since the first event in 2000, and FIFA 11 will be representing it this year.

Counter-Strike retains its long-established place in the First Person Shooter category - it was first seen at the WCG in 2001.

Alongside it will be the free-to-play South Korean games Special Force (aka Soldier Front) and CrossFire.

The inclusion of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm also marks the creation of a new Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game category for WCF 2011.

World of Warcraft's predecessor, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, shares the Real Time Strategy category with fellow Blizzard Entertainment title StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and the free-to-play hit League of Legends.

Tekken 6 returns for a second year, having replaced Virtual Fighter 5 in 2010 and more recently fought off competition from Super Street Fighter IV in a fan preference vote.

The World Cyber Games' Grand Final is scheduled to take place in autumn 2011 in South Korea, with national qualifiers held before then.

That puts it in the same provisional time-frame as the Electronic Sports World Cup finals in France and, potentially, September's Tougeki tournament in Japan.
