Forget boring chat about body-mass indexes, kilograms and body-fat percentages – the new fun way to look at your weight is with the global fat scale.
Using UN data on population size in 177 countries, together with estimates of global weight from the WHO, and mean height from national health examinations surveys, a team of researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine calculated average BMI figures for each country. The BBC took the figures and created an online gizmo that, using the data you enter into the calculator (sex, height, weight, age, location), will tell you which nationality (in your age and sex range) you most resemble. I'm apparently like someone from the Czech Republic – perhaps like Eva Herzigova here? (Nice try – Ed). Must be all that beer. Find your own "weight nationality" at: bit.ly/bbcfatcheck
