Self conscious Kylie Jenner confides in sister Kim about her changing body

Kylie Jenner has shared an emotional post on Instagram about her ongoing battle with anxiety and how she has sometimes “lost” herself while growing up in the public eye.

Jenner first found fame as a result of her family’s reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, in 2007 when she was just 10 years old.

The 21-year-old has since gone on to launch her own beauty company, Kylie Cosmetics, and was predicted to become the world’s youngest “self-made billionaire” by Forbes in 2018.

However, her notoriety in the media has come at a price, according to Jenner, who posted a photograph of herself on Instagram on Tuesday detailing how fame has affected her mental health.

“I’m proud of myself, my heart, and my strength,” Jenner captioned a photograph of herself on the beach looking at a sunset during her trip to Turks & Caicos this week.

“Growing up in the light with a million eyes on you just isn’t normal. I’ve lost friends along the way and I’ve lost myself too sometimes.”

The mother-of-one, who welcomed her first child, Stormi Webster, with rapper Travis Scott in February 2018, revealed that her first tattoo of the word “sanity” on her hip, serves as a reminder to herself to care for her psychological wellbeing in the limelight.

“I’ve struggled with anxiety my whole young adult life and after my baby I dealt with all the internal ups and downs” she added.

“I felt like I had to find myself completely again. I keep a whole lot to myself but just wanted to share and let you know I’m human.”

Jenner continued, explaining that her life is “not perfect and what you see here on social media is just the surface”.

The beauty mogul urged her followers to “be gentle with yourself, move on, and let go”, adding: “We are all capable of great things, worthy of love, and allowed to express ourselves.

“Do more of what makes you happy and be unapologetic. Now is your season. We all have a magnificent destiny.”

Several of the star’s followers including Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing and Jenner’s famous siblings have commented on the post congratulating Jenner for her honesty.

“Amen sweet sister!!!! I am proud of you always [sic],” wrote Jenner’s half-sister Khloe Kardashian.

“I am proud of you, let it out,” added older half-sister Kourtney Kardashian.
