Mark Laskin is selling his old Rover 75 and wants to replace it with a “hassle-free” new car. He says that he likes the idea of a “crossover” model.

A Car for the Head

September is always a good time to buy, not least because manufacturers want to tempt more customers into their showrooms and convince to sign up for the latest 66 registration. There is no shortage of Sports Utility/Crossover style vehicles and they don’t all have to be huge with four-wheel drive. The £15,675 Renault Captur is a good example of the type Mike is looking for, and right now there is £500 off new models. The Captur is also available from £179 per month after a deposit of £607, via one of Renault’s new three-year Selections PCP packages, plus a manufacturer deposit contribution of £2,250.

The SsangYong Korando has plenty of new extras to entice customers

A Car for Heart

Alternatively, the new 2.2 litre SsangYong Korando crossover is now available as a special LE model. They are well built, decently equipped and come with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty which would be perfect for Mark. This new model has a huge list of extras – the 18in alloy wheels and sidesteps are just the most obvious features. Look around and you’ll also find sat nav, a 7in high-resolution touch screen with audio streaming from smart devices and a link to the rear view camera, and TomTom navigation system. All this for £17,995.
