Bargain Hunter: Eurostar offers child fares for £1 each way to Paris, Brussels and Lille

From next Wednesday Eurostar will offer child fares for just £1 each way to Paris, Brussels and Lille throughout August.

Tickets will be on sale from 16 to 21 July and the same low fare is available in both Standard and Standard Premier. Passengers can also use their Eurostar ticket to get two-for-one entry into a range of top museums and galleries including Musée d'Orsay in Paris and Bozar in Brussels. Tickets will be available at www.eurostar.com.

Tickets are already on sale for a fixed £99 return fare available right up to departure on selected trains to Paris, Brussels or Lille for travel in standard class between 24 July and 31 August.

Half-price tickets for late trips to Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds in London is celebrating the summer with extended opening hours and a late-in-the-day online ticket deal offering half-price tickets. Visit after 6pm before 31 August to get adult tickets – which usually cost £30 – for just £15 and children's tickets (under 15) for £12.90.

Dress up for discount dining in your own private booth

To mark the launch of its new Club Room, the upmarket London restaurant Bob Bob Ricard is offering 25 per cent off all food there until the end of the month.

Club Room opens in the evenings to offer a menu of classic Russian and English dishes in private booths and opulent surroundings. But be warned, an "upscale dress code" is enforced at the Soho venue.

Ocado takes a slice off the price of its BBQ meats

The online supermarket Ocado is targeting barbecue fans this month with cut-price burgers and meat. Waitrose free-range pork sausages are down from £3.29 to £2.19, for instance, while chicken breast fillets have been cut from £6.89 to £4.59.

Net yourself a bargain with Asda's four-pack tunas

Meanwhile there's a chance to stock up on cut-price tuna at Asda. It's offering four-packs of Princes Tuna Chunks in Brine at two for £6, instead of the normal price of £4 a pack.
