Walk down any high street at the moment and you'd be forgiven for thinking the sales will last forever. Of course, as we all know, they won't, so I recommend taking advantage of the many discounts currently available while you still can. My top tips for bargain hunters this weekend are Oasis, where there are discounts of 50 per cent, and Argos, where savings of up to 60 per cent can be found.
Dinner to get your London trip going
For those planning a trip to London before the end of the month, the Royal National Hotel is offering a complimentary three-course dinner on the first night of your trip. The offer applies to anyone staying two nights or longer, but you should mention your intention to take it up on arrival.
Post-pancake help for keen cooks
If a three-course meal doesn't get your appetite going, perhaps this will. It's nearly Pancake Day, and with that comes the familiar sound of plates breaking and whisks being battered as the kids begin their annual scramble to the kitchen. Happily, Nisbets – already the keen cook's secret weapon thanks to its extensive stock and low prices – is offering 50 per cent off selected kitchenware, so you'll be able to pick up replacement crockery on the cheap.
A smarter start to spring at M&S
If you're more Fashion Week that family cooking, you could do worse than head to Marks & Spencer this weekend. The department store is currently offering discounts of more than 25 per cent on selected suits and coats.
Finally, it may not feel like it, but spring is on its way. Get a head start on the spring cleaning with Sainsbury's where, as well as a buy-one-get-one-free deal on Persil Non-Bio, there is also a sale on a whole host of irons, with discounts reaching as much as 30 per cent.
