The deal

Halifax has reopened its £100 reward deal for customers switching their current account before 15 July 2012.

Good points

Paid on the day, customers start the switching process, rather than on completion like its competitors, there is, unusually, no minimum funding requirement to be eligible.

Bad points

Customers will have to get on with it as the window to apply is small. And, along with the hassle of transferring your banking activity that comes with any switch, the further linked cashback deal available with the Halifax Clarity credit card is confusing and complicated.

Conclusion

The deal, which matches the switching incentive from first direct, is attractive because there is no minimum monthly deposit required. kH
