Antofagasta leaps on divi lift

Shares in the Chilean copper miner Antofagasta jumped by more than 3 per cent after the group more than doubled its full-year dividend. Antofagasta announced a 12.5 cents final dividend and a 77.5 cents special dividend, bringing its total final dividend to 90 cents a share and its full-year payout to 98.5 cents.

Profit rose 4.6 per cent to $3.8bn (£2.5bn), while revenues jumped from $6.07bn to $6.74bn. The shares closed up 34p at 1,129p.
