BMW forecasts record sales year
The German car manufacturer BMW expects to break sales records in 2012 after posting its highest figures for September and the first nine months of 2012.
The motor giant delivered 177,716 BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce cars in September, up 11.6 per cent over the same month in 2011.
Sales climbed 8.3 per cent over the first nine months compared with the same period last year, with a total of 1,335,502 vehicles delivered.
The leading BMW brand saw sales soar 14.3 per cent in September with 146,843 vehicles delivered, while over the first nine months sales climbed 8.6 per cent to 1,109,962, around 12,500 more than Audi sold during the same period.
