Gamers no longer have to queue through the night to get their hands on the latest Call of Duty edition before anyone else.

Amazon has said it will deliver Call of Duty: Black Ops III to Prime Now customers for free the minute it becomes available at midnight EST on Friday November 6, for no extra delivery charges. Amazon Prime costs £79 in the UK and $99 in the US.

Snacks, drinks and extra gaming controllers are also available to midnight customers, with limited availability. Amazon urged customers to order the game and any extras when pre-order becomes available at midnight EST on November 4.

“Why wait in lines on release night when we’ll bring Call of Duty: Black Ops III right to your door? We’re making it easy for hardcore gamers to download the app, reserve a coveted delivery window for midnight delivery and sit back while the game comes right to their doors,” Stephenie Landry, Amazon’s worldwide director of Prime Now, said.

Black Ops III is the most hotly anticipated multiplatform game of the year in the run up to Christmas, according to media analysts Nielsen. It has been developed by Treyarch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.

Amazon’s decision to scrap delivery fees for Call of Duty fits the company’s long history of making a loss on shipping to hook in sales.
