London Fashion Week star Christopher Kane has secured a spot for his first ever store.

The London-based designer and his sister Tammy Kane, who will unveil their London catwalk show today, have chosen Mayfair’s Mount Street for a store that will open next year.

Keith Wilson, at property advisor Wilson McHardy who advised on the deal, said: “Mount Street provides the gravitas required ahead of other Mayfair and Knightsbridge locations for an emerging luxury brand and landlord Grosvenor was hugely supportive in securing the space.”

Mount Street has attracted a raft of new designers who have shunned the more established Bond Street.

London Fashion Week favourite Roksanda Ilincic plans to open on the street and Kane will open opposite shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood.
