Funding Circle gets three new angels

Edward Wray, the co-founder of the internet betting exchange Betfair, has joined the board of the peer-to-peer business lender Funding Circle.

The lender completes its first year's trading this month. To date, savers and investors have offered £28.5m to small businesses through it.

Other new investors include Charles Dunstone, the founder of the retailer Carphone Warehouse, and Sami Lababidi, co-founder of the gaming social network Playfish.
