Record December at McDonald's UK
McDonald's UK posted record sales of more than £200m in December, despite the snow. The fast-food giant said its UK like-for-like sales were higher than the 3.4 per cent growth it delivered across Europe in the three months to 31 December.
Globally, McDonald's grew its net income by 9 per cent to $4.95bn, on sales up 6 per cent to $24.1bn in 2010.
The company plans to create 3,000 UK jobs this year.
