Record year for Morgan Crucible
Morgan Crucible has reported record profits and turnover for 2011 on the back of soaring demand from China and India.
The specialist materials group, which makes ceramic body armour for the British military as well as specialist materials for the aerospace, medical instruments, power generation and train industries, reported a 58 per cent jump in profits to £119.7m, as revenue climbed by 8 per cent to £1.1bn.
Morgan marked its final dividend up by a fifth to 6p, taking its full-year payout to 9.25p. Revenues from emerging economies jumped by 23 per cent.
