'Risk control has risen in 10 years since Enron's fall'

This week marks the 10th anniversary of one of the worst corporate scandals in history.

On 2 December 2001, US energy giant Enron filed for bankruptcy, after severe accounting failures to hide losses emerged. It was then the biggest company to fall into Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Ian Peters, head of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, said: "Risk management and internal control and has increased considerably since then."
