Service sector suffers in eurozone

The eurozone service sector is shrinking at its fastest rate in two-and-a- half years, according to the latest Markit survey.

The region's purchasing managers index (PMI) fell to 46.4 in October, down from 48.8 in September, with a figure below 50 indicating a contraction. Activity in Spain and Italy fell steeply.
