Spurs owner buys TV share

Joe Lewis, the owner of Tottenham Hotspur, has won the battle to buy Timeweave, the Aim-listed firm that owns half of Turf TV.

The Timeweave board had dismissed his £50m offer. But it said Mr Lewis had received acceptances from 30 per cent of the firm. Mr Lewis's Mayfair Capital has a 29.99 per cent stake.
