Tesco calls up BT executive Olivia Garfield to board

Grocery giant Tesco has hired the boss of BT’s super-fast broadband division on to its board.

Olivia Garfield, chief executive of BT’s Openreach since 2011, is joining the world’s third-largest retailer as a non-executive. She has been at BT since 2002, including as group strategy director at the telecoms firm, and before then worked at Accenture  as a consultant.
