Fewer state pupils at Oxford
Fewer state school pupils were admitted to Oxford University last autumn, latest figures show. The percentage went down from 55.4 per cent to 53.9 per cent.
But admissions staff revealed the percentage of offers made to young people from state schools increased this year to 56.4 per cent.
