Max Mosley wins privacy case in France

A French court has found News Corporation guilty of invasion of privacy for publishing a story claiming former racing boss Max Mosley participated in a Nazi-themed orgy.

It ordered the company to pay more than 32,000 euros (£27,500) in penalties and court costs.

Mr Mosley had already won a privacy case in Britain against the News of the World for the 2008 story. He also tried to take the case to the European Court of Human Rights.

Mr Mosley has admitted visiting the prostitutes but denied the encounter had Nazi overtones.

He took action in France, where the newspaper was distributed, at a judge's invitation.
