Andy Murray and Kim Sears have announced the birth of their daughter.
The British tennis champion and his wife Sears, an artist, confirmed the birth via the BBC.
Murray and Sears wed in a ceremony at Dunblane Cathedral in Dunblane, Murray’s home town, last year. Their daughter was born on 9 February.
The Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon led well-wishers sending messages of congratulations after the news was announced.
The birth of their daughter comes two weeks after Murray finished as the runner-up in the Australian Open, where he addressed Sears as she watched him from home.
