Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is reportedly considering legal action over photographs showing her near what was reported to be a white powdered substance in a bathroom.

There is no suggestion that Fernandez-Versini was aware of or was linked to the substance, or that the apparent substance was drugs.

According to The Sun, a fashion journalist posted an image of the singer in the bathroom at the British Fashion Awards on Monday evening, while “three lines” were on a tiled shelf.

The journalist quickly removed the photograph from their Instagram account, however The Sun published the image on their website.

The image has since been removed after a warning from Fernandez-Versini’s legal team.

A source, said to be close to the 32-year-old, told the newspaper: “We believe the apparent lines were formed by a reflection of the light in the mirror.”

“She absolutely despises drugs.”

Cheryl defends decisions

In 2008 the Girls Aloud singer said she is “anti drugs” and experiencing a friend dying from a heroin overdose “put [her] off drugs for life.”
