Chrissy Teigen has hit back at people telling her she looks pregnant enough to be carrying twins, telling them she has “seen the damn thing” herself and "Get out of my uterus!" after being bombarded with tweets.

Teigan announced her pregnancy earlier this month, but a recent picture showing off her bump became a huge talking point when people bombarded her with tweets and messages saying she looked like she was carrying twins.

“Good thing I am unoffendable or this would be a rough few months,” she said dryly, after people ignored her tweets saying she was only carrying one child.

“It’s definitely twins,” mused one aspiring obstetrician, applying an unusual level of scrutiny to a single picture of a woman in a dress.

“Damn, you got big fast!” opined one user, who said Teigen was so big she was “probably” expecting triplets.

Teigan explained, as calmly as she could, that she had conceived via IVF and had seen scans showing that there was, actually, one baby growing inside her.

But that didn’t deter the internet’s finest team of midwifes and neo-natal detectives surmising she could still be carrying twins despite being on IVF.

Reminder: this is based off a single image of Teigan’s bump, taken on Instagram while she was fully clothed. Well done, everyone.

Eventually Teigan gave up, saying she wasn’t going to be tweeting about her pregnancy any longer.

It might be a long few months.
