And as with his first waxwork, no one is allowed to style the likeness’s hair other than Ronaldo’s designated hair dresser

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly paid a staggering £20,000 on a waxwork of himself to keep with him at home.

According to The Sun on Sunday, the footballer decided to invest in a second likeness of himself after making a series of visits to the first waxwork made in his honour, which has stood in Madrid’s Museum of Wax since 2013.

Sculptor Michael Wade, who was hired to create the waxwork in his Dorset studio, told the newspaper: “We still had the mould that we’d used to sculpt him in 2013, so this copy was a complete duplicate,” adding that Ronaldo had sent over a new football kit and his latest boots for the figure.

Wade said his team added all the individual hairs to the waxwork’s head, but they were not allowed to style it – this job was instead left for Ronaldo’s hair dresser to do in Madrid.

This is presumably the same hair dresser that travels to the Museum of Wax once a month to style the hair of Ronaldo’s original waxwork.

Ronaldo, who has a museum of himself in Portugal, saw his second likeness for the first time in Madrid, and the figure is expected to be placed on display at a number of sites across Europe before it will end up at the footballer’s home.
