Donald Trump will appear on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show on Friday evening, as the once long-shot presidential candidate continues to dominate the news agenda in the US.

The Republican presidential candidate hopeful was announced as a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week, and will appear in the popular late night talk show alongside Pharrell Williams (who has already claimed Hilary Clinton will win the 2016 race) and actor Terrence Howard.

The 69-year-old businessman’s campaign has been riddled with gaffes; confounding political pundits who continue to watch Mr Trump’s polling numbers improve.

In his latest, he claimed former Republican candidate Carly Fiorina’s face made her unelectable.

“Look at that face!" He told a Rolling Stone reporter as Ms Fiorina appeared on TV. "Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president."

He later claimed he was not discussing her personal appearance, but her “persona”.

Meanwhile, a CNN poll on Friday found support for Mr Trump's Republican candidacy at 32 per cent. In comparison, previous frontrunner Jeb Bush’s support stands at only nine per cent.
