Hugh Jackman has been forced to cancel his one-man stage show in Turkey after falling ill.
The actor, 46, suffered a haemorrhage on his left vocal chord that has left him unable to project.
The Sydney-born star arrived in Istanbul on Monday. He led a press conference to promote his An Evening With Hugh Jackman, during which he told reporters of his Turkish grandfather.
He later posted an image of himself standing next to a wall signed by fellow Australasian actor Russell Crowe on Instagram.
“I was here before you, Hugh Jackman!” the scribble reads.
Jackman has endured a number of health-related issues of late . In October 2014, his spokesperson announced he had been treated for basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer, for third time in under a year.
