'I want Bill Cosby to face justice for what he has done to me and so many other women,' says Beth Ferrier

Beth Ferrier has detailed her claim that Bill Cosby allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted her in the mid-eighties, speaking at a press conference in Los Angeles along with two other women who also allege that the American comedian sexually abused them.

The three women came forward on Wednesday, just a day after reports emerged that Cosby is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims he molested her when she was a teenager in 1974.

Judy Huth alleges that Cosby allegedly abused her in a bedroom at the Playboy Mansion when she was 15 years old.

Ferrier spoke to the press alongside attorney Gloria Allred and two other women; Helen Hayes and someone who only gave her name as Chelan.

Speaking to cameras, Ferrier read, "I believe that Mr. Cosby drugged me and sexually assaulted me that night. For years I did not tell anyone about what he had done to me because I was afraid. I felt threatened by him. I did not think anyone would believe me.

"I want Mr. Cosby to face justice for what he has done to me and to so many other women. I hope my coming forward inspires any other person harmed by Mr. Cosby to have courage to come forward and to tell the truth about what happened."

Describing the alleged incident in greater detail, she claimed that Cosby pursued her when she was an aspiring model in the mid-eighties and that they had an extra marital affair.

After she ended the relationship, Ferrier said Cosby invited her to a show of his in Denver, Colorado, where she was living at the time. Upon going back stage, she claimed he gave her a cappuccino.

"After I drank it I felt dizzy and lost consciousness," she said. "The next thing I knew hours had passed. I woke up in the back of my car alone. My clothes were a mess, my bra was undone and my car was in the alleyway behind the venue. I felt confused and disoriented.

"The last memory that I had was drinking Mr Cosby's coffee."

Since several allegations against Cosby have come to light in recent weeks, the comedian has refused to answer questions about the claims, all of which he denies. His attorney, Martin Singer, has strongly denied the accusations which he has described as "decades old" and "discredited", and referring to one as "a complete lie".

None of the the claims against Cosby have been tested in court and Cosby has never been charged.

Ferrier said she was one of several "Jane Does" involved in a 2005 civil lawsuit involving sexual allegations about Cosby. The lawsuit, filed by Andrea Constand, was later settled.

Attorney Allred said Cosby should now waive the statute of limitations that protects him from legal action over the allegations.

Another woman, called Chelan, alleged that when she was working at the Las Vegas Hilton in 1986, at the age of 17, Cosby drugged, gave her alcohol and fondled her until she blacked out.

Helen Hayes also came forward at the press conference and claimed Cosby groped her breast at a restaurant in 1973.

When asked by reporters how she'd vetted the claims from the two new women, Allred did not comment.

In recent weeks, as allegations have mounted against Cosby, NBC scrapped a Cosby comedy in development while Netflix postponed a Cosby standup special.

On Wednesday, it was announced that two Cosby performances in Tarrytown, New York, scheduled for Saturday, had been cancelled.
