Judd Nelson death hoax: The Breakfast Club actor denies deceased rumours

The actor’s manager and agent say Nelson is alive and well

Judd Nelson is not dead.

The Breakfast Club actor was forced to debunk a hoax story that he had been found dead in his Los Angeles apartment.

Website Foxnews.es, which is not affiliated with the US television network, reported yesterday that police were investigating Nelson’s death. His name started trending on Facebook and his agent Gregg Klein decided to issue a denial, sharing a picture of the actor reading yesterday’s copy of the Los Angeles Times.

“Reports of Judd Nelson's death are not accurate please see attached photo,” Klein told the LA Times.

His manager, Jean-Pierre Henraux, said that far from being dead, Nelson is in “perfect” shape and just finished filming a new episode of forthcoming television series Empire.

He added that the actor doesn’t even live at the address listed in the hoax story.

Nelson is best known for his roles in cult Eighties films The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire. He was also part of the ‘Brat Pack’, a label given to a group of young actors who regularly worked alongside one other in the Eighties, including Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy.

More recently, he featured in horror film Cabin by the Lake, as well as The Transformers: The Movie and Transformers: Animated. His television credits include CSI and Two And A Half Men.
