Kanye West loses ego, takes up shift as shop assistant to serve Yeezy trainers at Adidas in London

Ahead of his Oxford address, the rapper surprised shoppers in Carnaby Street

Hours before he descended upon Oxford University for a rousing speech on freeing oneself from the shackles of one's ego while comparing oneself to Picasso, Kanye West did a small shift as a shop worker.

The rapper surprised fans at the Adidas Store on Carnaby Street in London on Monday when he turned up to get them their size 10s and bestow free pairs of his new Yeezy Boost Trainers to a handful of lucky winners.

His stint on the shop floor came after he apologized for his new Adidas collection being expensive, and said he was working to bring the price down, during an interview with Zane Lowe last week.

“Nothing should be exclusive,” he told the host.

“Everyone should have an opportunity to drink from the same fountain. The idea of exclusivity is a new colored people fountain. We have to reboot that mentality for an entire generation.”

He addressed the concept behind his new album, “the beauty from the struggle”.

And then he broke down crying over the death of fashion Professor Louise Wilson.
