Kanye West takes self-delusion to new heights: ‘I’m on a mission from God’
If you didn’t realise, Kanye West is in fact a prophet
For those who thought that Kanye West’s musings on the world were simply narcissistic, mad ramblings, think again - he is actually speaking on behalf of God.
In an incredible feat of self-delusion, West appears to now think of himself as a prophet.
“Don't worry about how I'm saying what I'm saying. Look at what I'm saying and how I feel my intent is,” he said an interview with Power106FM.
“You do not want to go against the power. I'm working on one mission, and that's a mission from God.”
He refrained from outlining any of the divine changes he was sent to create, although fortunately we’ll find out soon.
“I'm gonna make it very clear exactly what I'm here to do,” he said. “I'm here to help. I'm going to apply all the blessings I've got.
Kanye West's greatest self comparisons
Show all 12“We're moving to the future. [And] I'm gonna be the anchor.”
Of course if God were to send an intermediary to talk to humanity, he would be likely to sing about buying “lots of clothes when we don’t really need ‘em”, “pocket-like wallets” and relaying stories of how he once “sent this guy a picture of my d**k”.
The rapper – who recently merged with, sorry, married Kim Kardashian in a Florentine castle – is known for his unrivalled self-belief. His latest album, Yeezus, features a track modestly entitled "I Am A God".
“I made that song because I am a God… I don’t think there’s much more explanation,” he told W Magazine. “I’m not going to sit here and defend shit. That shit is rock ‘n’ roll, man. That shit is rap music. I am a god. Now what?”
He has also compared himself to Jesus, Barack Obama, Willy Wonker, Picasso, Andy Warhol and Steve Jobs.
