Kylie Jenner uses her Instagram to launch anti-bullying campaign celebrating inspiring people

The 18-year-old is sharing stories from six people

Kylie Jenner’s Instagram is typically filled with endless selfies, make-up tutorials, pouting and other inconsequential images that have somehow garnered over 30 million followers.

But the youngest Keeping up with the Kardashians star has turned her Instagram feed into a platform for launching an anti-bullying campaign, #Iammorethan.

Jenner, who recently turned 18, is sharing empowering stories from six people who have overcome bullying by turning their experiences into something positive. Explaining her campaign, she wrote: “I’ve gotten to talk and bond with all of these people whose stories you will see on my page. I think you will all fall in love with them just like I did.

“I want to encourage you, my fans, to share something positive about yourselves. I'll be reading as much as I can so that some of you can be apart of this as well! Let's do this.”

Jenner launched her hashtag with Renee DuShane’s story, a college student who was born with a genetic disorder where bones in her face form incorrectly called Pfieffer Syndrome.

She praised DuShane’s strength and defiance in the face of negative comments, writing: “Renee is so strong willed and a super intelligent girl who told me that while growing up she never had many issues with bullying.

"I love you Renee! She is so awesome & inspiring. Renee taught ME that #IAmMoreThan the negative comments that I read."

On the second day, Jenner shared a picture of the model Erica Schenk, the first plus size model to appear on the cover of a women’s fitness magazine. She said Schenk’s Instagram showcases extremely body-positive, beautiful photos that inspire self-confidence.

Jenner wrote: “What I love about Erica is she refused to believe the haters who told her that her weight would hold her back from achieving her dreams. She told me that she thinks the most important thing people need to keep in mind is 'to learn how to be your best friend.

"A lot of people will come and go in your life but they can never do as much for you as you can do for yourself'."

While Jenner was promoting her Instagram posts, her sister Kim Kardashian was this week accused of burying an apology for endorsing a controversial morning sickness drug on Instagram without mentioning side effects with a barrage of selfies.
