Lana Del Rey: 'West Coast' singer's entourage sued for $1million over alleged knife attack

Lana Del Rey’s production company is being sued by a photographer who claims he was attacked with a knife.

Karl Larsen alleges that he was assaulted by three men, one of whom was apparently carrying the box cutter, when he was caught attempting to photograph the singer on-set.

The lawsuit, which was obtained by TMZ, details that the incident occurred in June 2013, while Del Rey shot her video for “Tropico”.

In it, Larsen alleges that the men, employed by Black Hand Cinema, demanded that he stop taking pictures of her and threatened to destroy his camera equipment, worth $14,000.

He claims one of the men then produced a box cutter blade and slashed his finger, which required stitches. Another took his camera and erased the memory card.

Larsen seeks $1million in damages from Black Hand Cinema, who he claims have a reputation for "intimidating photographers".

A spokesperson for Del Rey is yet to respond for request to comment on the claims.

Lana Del Rey’s new album, Ultraviolence, is scheduled to be released later this year.

“The record is finished and it's beautiful; it's so wrong and exquisite,” Del Rey said about the record in a statement.
